For whatever reason the memento won't drop trophies if your in a pre-WT map session. It also won't work properly if your a 31-39 leveling up through wony without a level 40 in your session. For another, the best Memento builds will use the kill confirmed buff in combat, because you'll get more awesome stuff like weapon damage and bonus armor whatnot. That way you still have a decent damage output and survivability and 2 skill tiers with the backpack. Memento is very good. Perhaps one of the overall best exotics the devs have given us. But yes it does need to be synergized properly with the right build.
