For whatever reason, after 100 rounds, the problem went away. Have since put 3 other types of ammo through it and I can’t get it to FTF. The disproportional relationship that mag had with this gun seems to have worked itself out.The SR1911 boasts a titanium firing pin that “negates the need for a firing pin block, offering an updated safety feature to the original Series 70 design without compromising trigger pull.”. Ruger reckons the SR1911 has a non-compromised 4-pound trigger pull. And I don’t weigh one pound more than 200.The Eclipse models are some of the best looking 1911's I've seen from an aesthetic standpoint. I only own one Pro Kimber gun. Although I like it, I prefer the Custom Eclipse for SD & HD or the Ultra Eclipse for CCW. Good stuff but overpriced for what it actually is because they advertise more. Not saying that there is anything wrong with their guns etc... But they have to pay for that advertising somehow. One of my best shooters is a Ruger SR1911. Please do NOT attempt to shoot .40 S&W ammunition from any 10mm UNLESS you pull the bullets, resize the neck & reseat the bullets to provide longer COL.
