How to remove a delta shower faucet
Confirm you are using the correct tool. Your Delta Faucet product came with a hex key, also called Allen wrench. Delta Faucet handles use a hex key of either 3/32" for smaller handles or two handle sets; or 1/8" for single handles. If the set screw is stripped, try a rubber band on the end of the Allen key. It may fill the gap enough to get a grip.
Start off by turning off your water supply and removing your shower handle, just as we outlined in the Delta removal process. Step 2. Many Mixet shower cartridges have both a retaining clip and a bonnet nut. Use needle-nosed pliers to remove the clip and an adjustable wrench to remove the bonnet nut. Step 3.
