Here is how I'm intending on reflavouring each variety: Marid, winter; Efreeti, Summer; Djinni, Autumn; Dao, Spring.

5e has pretty much rejected that notion entirely and you should too in this case (because the warlock isn't even one of the more powerful classes, although the djinni warlock is one of the best warlocks). Instead, you should make the patron give more benefits the more of a pain in the ass the patron is.
