Capital One jumped my initial $20k credit line to $30lk. It seems if they see you using the card extensively they reward you w/a larger credit limit.

For a Amex Gold card user, the VX and Amex Plat serve different purposes IMO. The VX is a 2x catch-all Visa compliment to the Amex Gold.
