Amazon sent wrong item

In these wrong-item-shipped cases, I've asked for the correct item to be sent instead of a refund. I don't know if that's meaningful to them. I think it's pretty clear that Amazon has a problem with people ordering high-value items, swapping them with something cheap, and then sending the cheap item back for a full refund.
