I think it's pretty common to start dilating early in a first pregnancy and doesn't necessarily mean baby's coming soon. With my first baby my first internal wasn't until 36 weeks and I was at 1 cm. She was born at 38.5 weeks. At 35 weeks 3 days I was dialated to 1 cm also.
